Chapsol, 70 years of Innovation

1931
Robert Carmichael, Charles Seydoux and Johannes Pierson set up the Chapsol Company to commercialize in France industrial flooring products made by the Dutch firm Beton Fabriek de Meteoor, with which they created a partnership.

1935
Chapsol began production of industrial floor tiles and went on to make flagstones in France; this was to become its main activity until the 1970s.
